We are a small farm located in Eastern
Kentucky and a family that just loves animals. We moved from Michigan to Kentucky so we could have more of nature around us
and more room for our dogs to run without worrying about them having freedom
and the room to roam without something hurting them. In the search for our new home we
were very picky on what we wanted for our dogs in the way of room and
accommodations for them. To be
perfectly honest the house was a second thought for my husband and I. We
finally found what we were looking for in a 63 acre horse farm located just
outside
the quiet little town of West Liberty, Kentucky. The property has a huge 9
stall horse barn which we converted over to house our dogs. Each of our dogs that
are housed in the barn has a 6’ x 30’ kennel run. There is 12’ totally
inside the barn and 24’ that is 1/2 covered with
a door that goes outside
for them. I believe that since we don't have every dog in the house with us
they deserve the best we can give them outside. That is of course when we
are not taking them across the street to play or hunt on our other 43 acres
of woods and fields.
Our hunting stock which is mainly my husbands since
I know next to nothing about hunting and he doesn’t want me to
ruin them. What I mean by ruin is that I would make each and
everyone of them want to be lap dogs and not hunt. They are
American Foxhounds & Beagles. Our other dogs, which are my
babies, get so spoiled that sometimes my legs can’t take all the
jumping because they want me to pick them up. We currently have
French Bulldogs, Dachshunds and Dobermans. Each breed is one
that my husband and I discussed for a long period of time before
we ever embarked on this labor of love. I say Labor of Love
because we are not doing this to make a living of it and hope to show dogs in the future, but right now our main focus is
just enjoying them and the unconditional love that they always
give us and anyone that comes to see us. We do not always have
puppies available and most are already reserved by the time we
do have a litter. We take great pride in our four legged family
and you can see that in them and their babies. Our not for
sale animals have their own page on our site so please check
them out as well.
We have an open door policy, which means that if for any reason
you can no longer keep your new family member he or she is ALWAYS
welcome to come back here to us.
No matter how long you have had him
or her.
All our puppies will leave our home for yours up to date on all
shots and vet examined.
Just a little advice when shopping for a new family member please
remember to do your research on the breeder you are thinking of
purchasing from. Just because a puppy costs more does not mean it is
from a reputable breeder.
If you get nothing else from visiting our website I hope you enjoyed all the
pictures of our babies. Please check out our past litter page to see how our
little ones were when they were with us and how they are now
with their new families.
My husband and I have decided to offer a Thank you
gift to everyone who has served or is serving in the military.
It may not be much but we are including a 5% discount on any
puppy adopted from us. We have family and friends on both sides that have and are serving and we thank them for what
they do or did and now we would like to thank everyone else.
Please do not forget to mention this when we talk.
We are beginning to scale back due to my job
and the hours that I am required to put in. I am very thankful
that my husband is able to devote all his time to our family. We
will only be breeding Dobermans and Frengles and only when we
have enough families on our waiting list for that particular
breed. On occasion we will have a litter of Beagles but not very often, maybe every two years or so. Our puppies are worth the wait and with my time being
taken up more by work this means it will be harder on our whole
family when a new litter arrives. we are doing this so that
every new baby will continue to have the same care, love and
attention that all our past ones have had. We have not in the
past had anymore litters then we could handle and will not start
now. Since we want to continue to share our wonderful puppies
and dogs with other families, we had to make the very difficult
decision on which ones we will continue to offer.
This by no means changes anything as far as the open door policy
or anything else about what we do and will do for all our
extended families so far and in the future.
Our site will be updated with the new changes as soon as I can
figure out how to reformat everything without having to start
from scratch. LOL
I would like to thank everyone new to our site and those that
stop by now and again for their support and understanding about
how much our four legged family means to us!
